Far East Gas Pipe Expansion 75% Complete
An expansion project at the Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok (SKV) gas pipeline in the Russian Far East is now over three quarters complete, state-owned Gazprom reported on February 17.
Some 315 km of the 390 km of pipe needed to enlarge the 5.5bn m
3/yr SKV pipeline have been laid. The expansion will increase supplies to domestic consumers in the Far East, and potentially facilitate additional sales to China in the future.
