Made at an estimated cost of INR 314 crore, the railway terminal has been designed to offer an airport-like experience. The terminal has been named after Bharat Ratna Sir M Visvesvaraya, and is Bengaluru s third railway terminal in Baiyappanahalli area. It has been built as an answer to the need for adding more express trains connecting the city. The features of this special terminal are as under:
