MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. â The Martin County School District hosted a job fair Wednesday for Treasure Coast residents.
District officials said they are working to fill 168 positions before the first day of school on Aug. 11. I m looking for a cook, lead cook position, said job seeker Geraldine Harriel.
Harriel said her catering business didn t survive the pandemic and an opportunity to join the school district would be a perfect fit.

MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. â Controlled Open Enrollment begins Monday and in the Martin County School District, there are more options for parents to choose from.
Controlled Open Enrollment is for out-of county-residents wishing to enroll their child in a school that has not reached capacity.
Parents of students from any school district in the state that are not subject to a current expulsion or suspension can apply for Controlled Open Enrollment to any public, or charter school, that has not reached capacity in the district. Parents must provide their own transportation for students. Those applications are due March 31.
