Montana on Saturday added 175 new COVID-19 cases, though the number is likely inflated as the Cascade City-County Health Department reported backlogged data from November and December would be recorded this week.
The state reported 1,079 active cases and 1,523 total deaths from the virus Saturday. There are 45 active hospitalizations and 103,540 total recoveries. Gallatin County reported 60 new cases, Yellowstone County reported 22, Missoula County added 10 and Flathead County reported nine.
Cascade County reported 47 new cases Saturday, though that number is likely inflated. The county also reported 62 active cases and has had 167 deaths from the virus. In terms of vaccinations, Cascade County has administered 37,463 total doses of COVID-19 vaccine, and 15,006 people are fully immunized, meaning they received both shots.

More than a million vaccine doses have been administered by the Indian Health Service since vaccines began arriving in mid-December, IHS acting director Elizabeth Fowler said Wednesday during a visit to Montana.
IHS held mass vaccination events in Montana tribal communities, sent public health nurses into homes to provide vaccines, and worked with stakeholders in providing more vaccinators, she said during a press conference at the Indian Family Health Clinic in Great Falls.
During her visit to Montana, Fowler traveled to the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy reservations, as well as visited with the Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Montana.
