While dusting off annals of partition of the Subcontinent some seven decades ago, one comes across a classic case of cunning connivance between the proponents of ‘the mother of all parliaments’ and the champions of ‘the biggest democracy in the world’. I mean the crafty engineering of the Radcliffe Award in August 1947 in the first place, and subsequently the wilful rather criminal denial of the right to self-determination to the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) from 1948 onwards despite agreed upon by the United Nations in its resolutions on Kashmir.

Vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sidddique Kalhoro, led the rally in which a large number of teachers, officers, employees and students participated to show solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) and reiterated their resolve to continue their support for the freedom struggle of Kashmiris.

The Kashmir Solidary Day, celebrated on February 5 every year, will be meaningless unless serious thought process is unleashed about the price which needs to be paid for the emancipation of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK). On February 5, 1975, when prime minister Indira Gandhi and Sheikh Abdullah signed the Kashmir Accord reiterating Article 370 and declaring the Muslim-majority state as India’s integral part, not only the so-called autonomy granted to the disputed region under the Indian constitution was usurped, but its illegal occupation has been further strengthened since then.

ISLAMABAD (APP) - Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on National Security Dr Moeed Yusuf on Friday said India had failed to crush the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle post revocation of the special status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Its illegal actions had rather increased hatred among all the Kashmiris and dragged it into a quagmire, the SAPM said in an exclusive interview with APP on the Kashmir Solidarity Day.
He said the EU DisinfoLab report and Pakistan’s dossier highlighting the Indian state-sponsored terrorism on its soil were clear and eye opening evidence for the world.
Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi, in their separate message on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, urged the international community to hold India accountable for its crimes against humanity in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).
