Suspect arrested in shooting near Taco Bell in Vero Beach Police Lights and last updated 2021-07-01 00:13:07-04 VERO BEACH, Fla. — A suspect is arrested following a shooting in Vero Beach Wednesday evening, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of a Taco Bell located in1000 block of U.S. 1., between 10th and 11th streets. Deputies said Jonathon Byrd, 22, was charged with possession of a firearm during a felony a suspected drug deal, and improper discharge of a firearm in public. He is being booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.
