Deputies investigating after shots fired at Vero Beach apartment complex

VERO BEACH, Fla. â Indian River County Sheriff s Office deputies are investigating after they say multiple shots were fired inside an apartment complex in Vero Beach Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. at the Palms at Vero Beach apartment complex located in the 1200 block of 4th Terrace.
According to the sheriff s office, the shots were fired inside an occupied unit.
Officials said the rounds went through the closed front door, a kitchen wall and cupboard, and through a window.

A Vero Beach man faces charges of impersonating an officer after an incident on Memorial Day.
The Indian River County Sheriff s Office says 19-year old Natron Young turned on flashing lights on his vehicle and pulled over a driver along U.S. 1.
The man behind the wheel says Young walked up to his car wearing a tactical vest, a holster and a gun.
The driver reported the incident to a deputy at a nearby gas station and that led police to Young, with the deputy saying he previously knew the man as someone who was interested in a career in law enforcement.
