JEE Main 2021: Criteria of 75% marks in Class 12 waived off for admission in NITs, IITs, other CFTIs Candidates vying for admission in Centrally-Funded Technical Institutes were earlier required to attain a minimum 75 percent marks in Class 12 board exams, apart from qualifying in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). Representative image For the second year in a row, the government has decided to waive off the criteria of attaining 75 percent marks in Class 12 exams for admission in National Institute of Technology (NIT), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and other Centrally-Funded Technical Institutes (CIFTs). Candidates vying for admission in the CIFTs were earlier required to attain a minimum 75 percent marks in Class 12 board exams, apart from qualifying in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

Indian Express, the Commission had written to the education ministry’s higher education secretary Amit Khare on January 5, seeking a “compliance report” within 15 days of the letter’s receipt. The ministry received the letter on Monday, the newspaper said.

Professor Anurag Rathore Awarded Agilent Thought Leader Award

Jan 18 2021 Read 385 Times Agilent Technologies Inc. has honoured Professor Anurag Rathore, a scientist at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, with an Agilent Thought Leader Award, for his contributions to the field of biopharmaceutical research and his work with advanced methods for molecular characterisation of biosimilars. The 2020 award includes a grant to support research personnel and Agilent instrumentation including a 6545XT AdvanceBio LC/Q-TOF, a Bravo Automated Liquid Handling Platform, and a 1290 Infinity II 2D-LC System. Professor Rathore, who serves as a professor at IIT Delhi’s Chemical Engineering department, is the first researcher in India to receive this award. Award funding will be used to promote academic-based research on critical areas impacting the biopharmaceutical industry.
