ISLAMABAD: PML-N Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb has demanded reversal of PTI’s proposed tax on 1100CC cars and 5-minute phonecard.
Speaking in the National Assembly, Marriyum said the people of Pakistan would feel the brunt on this phonecard tax. People, who work in cities far from home, need to communicate with their families back home and this tax would snatch away this right from them as well, she said. Only 37 percent Pakistanis use smart phones, all else would be adversely affected by this tax, she added. “Imran wouldn’t be affected by this phonecard tax because he only drops a missed call to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who never calls back”, Marriyum said.
