It’s been a busy year for EU-India relations.
The previous EU-India Summit in July 2020 brought fresh momentum to ties and broadened the scope of cooperation to finally befit a “strategic” partnership.
Since then, Brussels and New Delhi have engaged in a host of discussions covering important aspects, including high level dialogues on trade, climate change, maritime security, human rights, as well as talks on 5G and AI, over a span of a few months.

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not attend the G7 Summit in person in the UK, the Indian government said Tuesday, as the country reels from a massive wave of coronavirus cases.
India is not part of the Group of Seven wealthy democracies but was invited to the talks by Britain, which holds the rotating presidency of the group throughout 2021.

Free Trade Agreement (FTA) that were launched in 2007 and suspended back in 2013. The two sides have also considered launching negotiations on a stand-alone investment protection agreement, which would increase legal certainty for investors on both sides.
