IFFCO to act against false entities offering dealership ANI | Updated: May 13, 2021 16:59 IST
New Delhi [India], May 13 (ANI): Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO) said on Thursday it will crack down on entities which fraudulently offer its dealership or franchise to general public.
Some unscrupulous elements are actively operating on social media platforms and falsely claiming to be a branch of IFFCO.
They are collecting huge amounts from susceptible general public as licence fee, deposits and bookings for supply of fertilisers. IFFCO has no connection whatsoever with such persons/entities. They are committing fraud and deceiving general public by mischievously using IFFCO s name, it said in a statement.

Indiaâs largest fertilizer seller Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative (IFFCO) had recently mentioned in its internal communication that the nutrient costs would be hiked by 58 per cent. However, the central government has assured farmers that they will continue to obtain the nutrients at the earlier rates after holding high-level discussions with fertilizer makers.
âFertilizer companies had raised prices of nutrients like DAP, MOP and NPK. Now the government has decided to stall the price rise after meeting with these companies.
