MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. The Indiana Department of Transportation announced the project to replace damaged culverts on U.S. 30, east of SR 331, will shift from the westbound lanes to the eastbound lanes on Thursday.
This means the open lanes will switch from the eastbound lanes to westbound lanes on Thursday as well.
INDOT estimates the new culverts will be fully replaced in approximately two weeks from Thursday, opening back up the eastbound lanes.
The department announced an official detour route will follow SR 19, SR 10 and SR 331 when the road closure switches to the eastbound lanes.

LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. The Indiana Department of Transportation announced Monday that U.S. 20 will be reduced to one lane in each direction on the bridge going over Norfolk Southern Railroad beginning July 19.
INDOT says the closures will be due to a bridge deck overlay project that is expected to last through late August.
The bridge project is a protective treatment that is being done to extend the life of the bridge deck.
Drivers travelling through the construction zone are encouraged to stay alert of crews at work and should allow themselves more time in their travel as traffic will slow down in this area.
