WITH OPEN ARMS: Ministry helps hundreds on Christmas Eve with gifts and food

GREENFIELD It’s a little known fact that one of Santa’s first stops is always at the Hancock County Fairgrounds each year.
For the past seven years, St. Nick has stopped by on Dec. 24 to drop off gifts that are passed out to those in need, with a little help from his friends. This Christmas Eve was no different.
Several hundred families stopped by the fairgrounds Thursday morning for the annual Day of Love and Caring, picking up toys, personal items and a hot turkey dinner to make their holidays brighter.
