Indiana Secretary of Commerce Jim Schellinger announced he was resigning effective immediately in a letter to Indiana Economic Development Corp. board of directors Wednesday.
In the six-page letter, Schellinger called his tenure in the position a terrific ride, but said it s time to pass the torch. As all who know me have heard me say on so many occasions that serving Hoosiers as your Secretary of Commerce has and will forever be the highest honor of my life, Schellinger wrote. But like all great things in life, this too must come to an end.

(Feb. 25, 2021) Today, the Toyota Mobility Foundation (TMF) and Energy Systems Network (ESN) designates May Mobility and Udelv as the first two deployments of the Future Mobility District initiative. The Future Mobility District initiative, established in collaboration with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), aims to foster innovation through industry partnerships and propel research and development in advanced mobility technologies in Indiana. TMF has established the Future Mobility District initiative in support of Toyota’s mission of Mobility for All and commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, in this case to the Goal # 11 of Sustainable Cities and Communities.
