Govt terminates contract for interns

Ministry of Labour says it will terminate contracts for interns who joined the Graduate Internship Programme in 2018 and 2019 by end of June this year. According to the statement signed by Secretary for labour H.K.K Nyasulu, the move is in a bid to create room for fresh graduates. In a statement, the ministry further says that the programme, which was designed to engage interns for a period of two years, will only run for a year for the sake of recruiting fresh graduates each year.
