NORFOLK, Va. - The Virginia State Police are looking for a possible suspect involved in an overnight interstate shooting that happened in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 264 in the vicinity of Military Highway around 11:56 p.m. Monday.
A witness reported the shooting and said that a blue Nissan sedan and a white Dodge utility truck were speeding. According to a news release, the witness stated that once the vehicles passed by, the drivers began traveling side by side and a single gunshot was fired from the Nissan.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis police shut down part of I-240 late Wednesday night to investigate a shooting.
Police say it happened around 11:30 p.m. Two victims were found at businesses on South Perkins just off the interstate.
It’s unclear where the shooting happened, but police shut down a section of I-240 at Perkins for several hours as part of the investigation.
Police say both victims were taken to the hospital. They’re in non-critical condition as of Thursday morning.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WTVF) â Moments after shots are fired on a busy interstate, an off-duty firefighter and his daughter rush to help the victim.
Captain Brad Petty was driving on I-24 East in Rutherford County Saturday afternoon with his family, heading home from his sonâs wrestling tournament in Lebanon. As he approached the I-840 exit, he noticed a man on the side of the road jumping up and down and appearing to be in distress.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) â A person is in the hospital after a possible road rage shooting on I-24 East in Rutherford County.
It happened near the Interstate 840 exit towards Nashville. The Tennessee Department of Transportation says it was reported at 12:52 p.m.
Rutherford County Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh says the person had to be LifeFlighted to the hospital. It is not clear how the victim is doing at this time.
The Rutherford County Sheriff s Office and Tennessee Highway Patrol were on the scene. Deputies and detectives are working to find out what led up to the shooting.
