I feel happy being part of the team and it surely took hard work for me to be here. It is a perfect place for me to be part of the team as a young player. Since I am still a youngster, a lot of people are expecting a lot from me and I am ready to fight to my level best so as to show them that I can do it.
As Muyeka hopes to make a good case for further selection against the Green Army, confident Fathi had revealed why he selected a travelling squad without Emanuel Mayuka.
The club has now confirmed coach Fathi has recovered well from the virus and has resumed his duties with the team after returning negative results.
“We are excited to see our coach Mohamed Fathi fit and back to full-time work,” the club said on their social media pages. “Coach Fathi who had suffered from Covid-19 finally tested negative and is back with the team.
“Welcome back coach and we thank God for your quick recovery.”
In Fathi’s absence, assistant coach Geoffrey Hamakwendwa handled the team in two league matches.
Meanwhile, the club has confirmed the return of Austin Banda, Danny Silavwe, goalkeeper Rabson Mucheleng anga, and Amos Simwanza have all resumed training after recovering from injuries.
“Our coach Mohamed Fathi has tested positive for Covid-19,” the club said in a statement signed by media officer Gwen Chipasula. “This was after the team’s routine Covid-19 tests which were conducted before the week 13 Super League game played against Red Arrows FC on Saturday.
“The coach is currently in isolation at home following health guidelines set by the World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health.
“Coach Fathi missed Saturday’s game and will also miss Wednesday’s clash against Forest Rangers.”
Napsa through their technical director Honor Janza also confirmed the news by stating: “We are sad to announce that our coach has tested positive for Covid-19. We do our tests every 14 days but after the coach presented some symptoms, it led to the whole team doing another test earlier than usual.”
