ALBANY Albany County is launching two new vaccination efforts designed to make it easier for residents to get the coronavirus shot.
ALBANY, N.Y. â During his Friday morning press briefing, Albany County Executive Daniel McCoy continued the push to find more creative ways to get additional people vaccinated.
As of Thursday, 53.2% of Albany County s population has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 40% have been fully vaccinated. The statewide rate is 45.6% for the first dose and the full vaccination rate at 33.4%.
In total, Albany County has administered or reallocated 57,497 first and second doses of the vaccine to date.

So we re going to be coming up with a lot of different ideas and initiatives, McCoy remarked on attempting to craft incentives for people to become vaccinated.
