QUETTA: Federal Secretary for Housing and Works Dr Imran Zeb Khan on Wednesday discussed with Balochistan Chief Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana various issues, including housing schemes in the province.
He said the federal government would extend all help and cooperation to the provincial government for resolving the housing issues in Balochistan.
Mr Khan said the government had already launched housing projects in the province under the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Officials said it was also agreed in the meeting that new building codes would be formulated for the province as new technology had come along and it was time to build high-rise buildings in Quetta and other towns and cities of the province.

ISLAMABAD: Sword is hanging over the heads of nearly two dozen senior bureaucrats as a Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) chairperson-led committee comprising secretaries of the cabinet division, law and justice, establishment division and finance division has recommended their ‘forced’ retirement under the recently promulgated directory rules.
The high-level committee is headed by FPSC Chairman Zahid Saeed, while an additional secretary of the establishment division acts as its secretary.

ISLAMABAD: A high-level committee headed by the chairperson of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) on Monday scrutinised the cases of ‘forced’ retirement of senior bureaucrats of BS-20 to BS-22.
The officers being considered for retirement included six officers of BS-22, seven of BS-21 of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), two officers of BS-21 and eight officers of the Police Service of Pakistan, including former CCPO Lahore Umer Sheikh, and other civil service cadres.
The panel of the Secretariat Group of BS-22 for “Directory Retirement Board” included Aamer Hasan, Dr Imran Zeb Khan, Mohammad Hashim Popalzai, Mohammad Naeem, Pervaiz Ahmed Junejo and Noor Ahmed.
Govt trying to complete Bhara Kahu project within stipulated time

Islamabad: Minister for Housing and Works Tariq Bashir Cheema Friday said the government was trying its level best to complete the Bhara Kahu Green Enclave-I housing project within the stipulated time.
He said this while addressing the balloting ceremony for different categories of plots in Bara Kahu Green Enclave-I held here by the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA).
“We want the project to be completed in time so that the federal employees can fulfill their dream of having own house,” the minister said.
The ceremony was also attended by Secretary Housing and Works Dr. Imran Zeb Khan, Director General FGEHA Waseem Hayat Bajwa, MD PHA, senior officers of the Ministry and allottees of Bara Kahu Green Enclave-I.
