NEW DELHI: The government has extended suspension of scheduled international flights till June 30, 2021. However, Vande Bharat Mission and scheduled flights under the travel bubbles India has so far created which are currently not suspended by other countries will continue and people eligible as per government norms can fly to and from India on them.
Scheduled international flights were suspended on March 23, 2020, and the severity of the pandemic has meant that even after nearly 15 months there is no sign of the same resuming anytime in a hurry.

NEW DELHI: A mid-air wedding with almost 130 onboard baraatis not following required Covid time protocol has invited regulatory wrath. A SpiceJet charter flight took off from Madurai on Sunday (May 23) morning.
The couple got married while the aircraft was airborne for about two hours. They completed the rituals when the aircraft was hovering over the revered Meenakshi Amman temple, before returning to Madurai.
However, the violation of Covid time protocol has cost the airline and the baraatis dear now.
