RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar said 27th February, 2019 is a testament that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) will always defend the motherland against all threats with support of the nation.
The DG ISPR took to Twitter on Saturday and said it is not numbers but courage and will of a resilient nation that triumphs in the end. Pakistan stands for peace but when challenged, shall respond with full might, he added.
Army dismisses speculations on DG ISI’s replacement
ISPR spokesperson clarifies Lt Gen Faiz will complete his two-year tenure
The chief military spokesperson on Monday dismissed speculations that the head of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) was being replaced, saying there was no truth to such “baseless rumours”.
“There is no truth to such speculations. These are baseless speculations,” Major General Babar Iftikhar, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) replied here at a news conference when asked to comment on reports on social media that Lt Gen Faiz Hameed was being replaced by Lt Gen Asif Ghafoor.
The DG ISPR clarified that the appointments in the army at a senior level were not “short lived” and usually the head of an institution’s tenure lasted two years.
Islamabad: Recounting the achievements of the anti-terror operation, Pakistan’s armed forces chief spokesman has said that the country overcame immense challenges posed by terrorism and is now on the path towards development and economic revival.
Pakistan recorded impressive successes against terror groups, dismantling their network, limiting attacks and improving the security situation, said Major General Babar Iftikhar, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). He detailed the successes in the war against terrorism on the 4th anniversary of the counter-terrorism operation ‘Radd-ul-Fasaad’ (purging malevolence).

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar has said that Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad was launched to restore people’s confidence in the State and make terrorists completely ineffective.
In a media briefing in Rawalpindi on Monday on the completion of four years of Radd-ul-Fasaad, the DG ISPR said that the operation wasn’t an area-specific; rather, it was carried out throughout the Country under the two-pronged strategy of counter-terrorism and counter-violence with the support of people, which has produced positive results in various areas.
The DG ISPR said that the war against terrorism could not be won without the support of the masses and unflinching resolve.
