Johnston just completed his 20th season ringing the bell. Major David Worthy says Johnston has spent at least 6,000 hours at the red kettle, raising more than $200,000 over two decades. He provides more hours than any other individual or group in our area. This season alone, his kettle has raised more than $15,000. He really, truly is a life-changer to people in need, Worthy praised. Despite having cerebral palsy and being confined to a wheelchair, Johnston rings the bell full-time throughout the season.
