VICTORIA, Texas–After a delay due to weather, the Salvation Army of Victoria Family Store has reopened.
The store was closed almost a year ago due to the pandemic. Salvation Army of Victoria commanding officer Captain Kenny Jones tells us sales were very good on their reopening day, $2700 worth in one day. He said the store was averaging about $450-$500 a day before it was remodeled, and things have been going very well all this week. Captain Kenny tells us he hopes donations to the store can go up. He said they went for so long not picking up donations that it’ll take some time to get inventory back. The Salvation Army Family Store now really needs donations of furniture and housewares. The Salvation Army Of Victoria Family Store is at 4303 North Navarro.
