Tons of sales, and now they need more donations
March 2, 2021 9:44 PM Don Brubaker
After a delay due to weather, the Salvation Army of Victoria Family Store reopened Tuesday.
The store was closed almost a year ago due to the pandemic. Salvation Army of Victoria commanding officer Captain Kenny Jones tells us sales were very good on their reopening day. How good? Captain Kenny tells us that they had $2700 in sales on their reopening day. He said the store was averaging about $450-$500 a day before it was remodeled. Captain Kenny tells us that the Salvation Army Family Store now really needs donations of furniture and housewares, adding, “We have been cleaned out.” Captain Kenny tells us that on this opening week they’ll have giveaway bags for customers, and that they are sanitizing the store every day. They also will do live Facebook events like sales. The Salvation Army of Victoria Family Store is at 4303 North Navarro.

We are amazed by how God moved during KCBI’s Day of 5,000 Bibles! So many of you came to get Bibles to share with your co-workers, at crisis pregnancy centers, in prisons and even at the Dallas Convention Center, where some teenaged boys will be given God’s Word in their language.
Bibles are all on their way to their new homes and owners. Pray with us that God will work powerfully through His Word. And thanks to the Salvation Army DFW Command and Buckner International, Hope Shines Here for your partnership!
