NEW BEDFORD Euridice Eury Peralta, 44, couldn t talk long about why she needs the help of the Salvation Army s Christmas assistance program. She was also helping three of her clients she serves as a CNA and home health aide to apply for the assistance, and they were waiting for her in the car.
Peralta said she s worked as a CNA and Home Health aide for 16 years, but her earnings aren t enough to support her and her three kids. I work many hours, she said. But this helps a lot with food, clothing, checks to go to the supermarket and feed my family.
