Twin Cities Auto Show announces The Neighborhoods theme for 2021
The show will take place at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds this year to make the event more COVID-friendly.

The Twin Cities Auto Show, which will take place at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds due to COVID-19, will present a new theme this year: The Neighborhoods.
This year, the auto show will be made up of seven different “neighborhoods” across the fairgrounds from May 15 to 23. Electric vehicles, heavy-duty vehicles, military vehicles, motorcycles and outdoor recreation vehicles will all be featured at various neighborhood blocks.
A “Fun Neighborhood” will also feature kids’ activities and members of the Minnesota State Patrol and local fire departments.

The Automotive Trade Association Executives, or ATAE, has elected Scott Lambert as its 2021 chairman. The election took place virtually at the ATAE annual winter meeting on Thursday.
Lambert is president of the Minnesota Automobile Dealers Association and has been with that group for more than 30 years, supporting Minnesota’s more than 375 dealers. He has been association president since 2000.
He said he was honored to serve as ATAE chairman and added that the coronavirus pandemic has complicated the task of operating a dealership in today’s continually changing business environment.

The Twin Cities Auto Show will be moving from its usual home at the Minneapolis Convention Center to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, as uncertainty continues over events in 2021.
The annual event will move outdoors for the 2021 show, and will also take place between May 15-23, more than two months later than usual. This means the weather will be better, and more time is given to efforts to roll out COVID-19 vaccines.
“Moving the show back two and a half months and going to an outdoor venue gives us a few advantages,” stated Scott Lambert, president of the Greater Metropolitan Auto Dealers Association (GMADA), which owns and operates the show.
