KARACHI: A day after the matric part-2 physics exam paper was leaked out, Advisor to the CM on Boards and Universities Nisar Khuhro on Tuesday ordered that all teachers, invigilators, both external and internal along with other Board of Secondary Education Karachi officials will not be allowed to come in with mobile phones or any internet device.
He said that just like the students are not allowed to enter the examination centres with any phone or device, the staff there are also to be restricted from carrying such gadgets.

Phones barred at exam centres to prevent paper leaks
July 7, 2021
The Board of Secondary Education Karachi staff, examiners, invigilators, teachers and students have been barred from taking their mobile phones to the examination centres in order to prevent the leaking of question papers.
The order was issued on Tuesday through a statement issued by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah’s adviser on universities and boards Nisar Ahmed Khuhro. “No one will be allowed to use a mobile phone at an exam centre. There will be a complete ban on bringing and using mobile phones and internet devices. Board staffers, invigilators, external and internal examiners, and students will not be allowed to use mobile phones.”
However, no improvement was observed today when the second paper of mathematics was leaked too.
Earlier on Monday, BESK Chairman Syed Sharaf Ali Shah suspected that the central control officers (CCOs) had a hand in the controversy surrounding the paper leak and delay in the delivery of the questionnaire.
Speaking to Geo News anchor Shahzeb Khanzada on his programme Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Saath Monday, Sharaf Ali Shah said it was the primary responsibility of CCOs to distribute the papers to the exam centres. The CCOs did not arrive (at the hub) to collect exam papers, said the matric board chairperson. The delay was caused when the board s staff, due to the CCOs absence, delivered the papers to the examination centres, he had told the anchor.
