Contecon Manzanillo caps off 2020 with 1M TEU milestone
Contecon Manzanillo (CMSA) positively ended a difficult year with a milestone with the handling of its year-to-date one millionth TEU last December.
CMSA, which operates the Second Specialized Container Terminal (TEC-II), achieved the feat during the call of CMA CGM Jacques Joseph on 29 December.
“The event we are celebrating would not have been possible without the support of all our clients, shipping agents, customs agents, carriers, authorities, and of course the participation of our collaborators–the valuable men and women who work every day with responsibility and best attitude to serve,” said Fortino Landeros, CMSA Chief Executive Officer.

International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI)’s Mexican subsidiary, Contecon Manzanillo (CMSA), ended a difficult pandemic year with a milestone, handling its year-to-date one millionth twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) last month.
CMSA, which operates the Second Specialized Container Terminal (TEC-II) in the Port of Manzanillo, Mexico’s most important port and the third most important in the Latin America, achieved the feat during the call of the vessel, CMA CGM Jacques Joseph, on December 29, 2020.
CMSA handled its one-millionth TEU during the call of CMA CGM Jacques Joseph.
CMSA is Mexico’s gateway to the Pacific coast and is close to major consumer markets, such as Mexico City and the country’s largest industrial areas.
