HIGH NOTES: Dance marathon, tips for bar workers, library outreach

HIGH NOTES: Dance marathon, tips for bar workers, library outreach | The Daily Gazette SECTIONS In Queensbury, students, parents, school staff and local businesses combined to raise more than half a million dollars in a covid-truncated South High Marathon Dance at Six Flags Great Escape on Friday. The annual dance marathon in which students normally crowd into the high school gym for 28 hours over two days for dancing and activities to benefit local charitable causes was moved to the amusement park this year due to covid restrictions. The event this year was held for only 13 hours, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday. Nonetheless, the 44th annual event still managed to raise $506,013 for 24 charities and individuals, a testament to the work of all those involved during a very challenging time.
