South African National Defence Force Chief General Rudzani Maphwanya separately called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Nadeem Raza and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi today (Tuesday).
During the meeting with General Nadeem Raza, both sides deliberated upon bilateral cooperation, security and prevailing regional environment.
The dignitaries dilated upon measures to enhance the level and scope of military to military engagements between both countries and reaffirmed to continue to forge deeper ties.
In his meeting with General Qamar Javed Bajwa, matters of mutual interest, regional security situation and defence, training and security cooperation between both the countries were discussed.

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa says Pakistan Army is ever ready to defend Pakistan against all the threats and at all costs.
According to ISPR, the Army Chief has spent Eid with troops stationed near Pak-Afghan international border in Kurram District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today [Wednesday].
While interacting with troops and sharing Eid greetings, appreciating their high morale and unflinching resolve to defend the motherland, he reiterated Pakistan Army s firms resolve to ensure security along our borders in the face of evolving challenges.
The Army Chief lauded the formation for expeditious fencing in area of responsibility along Pak-Afghan international Border.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Monday extended heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences to the government and the people of the People’s Republic of China, particularly the bereaved families of Dasu incident victims.
Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters (GHQ) here, said an ISPR news release.
In wake of the recent Dasu bus incident involving Chinese citizens, the COAS expressed sincere condolences to the government and the people of the People’s Republic of China.
