BUFFALO, N.Y. The Erie County Department of Health held three vaccine clinics that were prom-themed on Saturday.
That s because Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz says if teens got their first dose then, they should be fully vaccinated by the time of their proms and graduations. I feel like it s necessary for me to get the vaccine for my own safety and for the people around me, said 17-year-old Abdul Noor Mohammad.
He says many of his friends are 18 years old and have gotten the Moderna vaccine.
The ECDOH also hosted these themed clinics because officials there say not too many teens have been vaccinated.
