Riddle sentenced to 18 months on assault charge
GREENVILLE Five people appeared in Darke County Common Pleas court on Monday. Judge Jonathan P. Hein presided.
Corey J. Garber, 32, of Greenville, was sentenced via video uplink from the Darke County Jail to 60 days incarceration with 47 days credit on one count of possession of methamphetamine, a fifth-degree felony. Garber previously pleaded guilty to the sole count.
Micah C. Riddle, 18, of Greenville, was sentenced to 18 months incarceration on one count of attempted felonious assault, a third-degree felony. Riddle previously pleaded guilty to the sole count. Upon release, Riddle faces three years of mandatory post-release supervision.
Wayne HealthCare civil suit starts

GREENVILLE Opening statements marked the start of a medical malpractice trial against Wayne HealthCare on Tuesday morning in Darke County Common Pleas Court. Judge Jonathan P. Hein presided.
Kyle Dillman, son of late New Weston resident Tisha K. Gibson, filed suits against Wayne HealthCare Physician’s Assistant James Zimmerman and Wayne HealthCare on count one of wrongful death and count two of personal injury in May 2019.
The charges followed Gibson’s day-long stint in the Wayne HealthCare Emergency Department (ED) on May 30, 2018, in which she allegedly complained of multiple symptoms, such as “dizziness,” “palpitations” and “shortness of breath.” Gibson was treated by Zimmerman during her stay in the ED, and after he looked after her, and she was given fluids, Zimmerman discharged Gibson home with a diagnosis of Vertigo and some prescriptions for nausea and dizziness at approximately
