Two sentenced in court

GREENVILLE Two people were sentenced in Darke County Common Pleas Court on Thursday. Judge Jonathan P. Hein presided.
Dwain A. Hodge, 42, of Greenville, was sentenced to nine months incarceration with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections with seven days credit, a $375 fine and one-year license suspension on one count of aggravated a possession of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony, and one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a first-degree misdemeanor. Upon his release, he is subject to a supervisory period of up three years.
Damon M. Gilbert, 24, of Union City, Ind., was sentenced to 10 days in jail with 10 days credit and community control sanctions for a period of up to 60 months, on one count of forgery, a fifth-degree felony. Gilbert was ordered to pay back restitution of $1704.75 over a 12-month period. If Gilbert fails to comply, he must serve an 11-month prison term with three years of optional post

GREENVILLE Six people appeared in Darke County Common Pleas Court on Tuesday. Judge Jonathan P. Hein presided.
Matthew L. Blaine, 22, of New Madison, gave a change of plea to guilty on two counts of attempted aggravated vehicular assault, each third-degree felonies and one count of driving under the influence, a first-degree misdemeanor. One count of vehicular assault, a felony in the third-degree and a second count of vehicular assault, a felony in the fourth-degree were dismissed as part of a plea agreement. If convicted, Blaine faces a maximum three years in prison and a $10,000 for each count of attempted aggravated vehicular assault, none of which are mandatory. He also faces a minimum one year license suspension, minimum $375 fine and a minimum three days in jail if convicted for driving under the influence, all of which are mandatory. Free on his own recognisance, his sentencing is scheduled for Monday, June 21.

GREENVILLE Two people were sentenced in Darke County Common Pleas Court on Thursday, April 22. Judge Jonthan P. Hein presided.
Bluford L. Brock, 29, of Union City, Ind., was sentenced to 19 days in jail with 19 days credit and supervision for up to 60 months
, on one count of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony. Brock was ordered to pay the restitution amount of $1,162, with monthly payments over a 24-month period. If Brock fails to comply, he must serve an 11-month prison term with three years of optional post-release supervision.
Jessica M. Kreitzer, 46, of Dayton, was sentenced via video uplink from the Darke County Jail to 12 months in the Ohio Department of Rehabilitations and Corrections
Four arraigned in court

GREENVILLE Five people appeared in Darke County Common Pleas Court on Thursday to be arraigned on indictments. Judge Jonathan P. Hein presided.
Elijah Cook, 22, of Greenville, was arraigned on one count of possession of MDMA, a fifth-degree felony. If convicted, he faces a maximum prison sentence of 12 months, and a maximum fine of $2,500, neither of which are mandatory. Cook pleaded not guilty and was appointed a public defender. He was granted an OR bond and his next appearance is scheduled for May 17.
Sean Flatter, 38, of Greenville, faces 24 months in prison and a $5,000 fine, if convicted, two counts of illegal use of food stamps, both fifth-degree felonies. He pleaded not guilty and retained his public defender from a previous case. Flatter was granted an OR bond and his next appearance is scheduled for April 19, which is a combined date with another charge against him.

GREENVILLE Scotty J. Reineke, 37, of Bradford, appeared in Darke County Common Pleas Court on Monday via video uplink from the Lorain Correctional Institute, where he is currently incarcerated for violating his post-release control when he was previously released from prison.
Reineke was sentenced to three years incarceration with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction for failing to register his address after previously being convicted on sexual-related charges. In June of 2015, Reineke was convicted on numerous counts of disseminating matter harmful to a juvenile and pandering obscenity involving a minor. From this, he was sentenced to almost four and a half years in prison.
