NEW LICENSE PLATE READERS IDENTIFIED LOST/STOLEN VEHICLE; DRIVER ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES
MOORESVILLE, NC – On February 24, Mooresville Police Department received an automated license plate reader alert on a vehicle that was displaying a registration plate that had been entered as lost/stolen. Officers located the vehicle at Walgreen’s, 230 E. Plaza Drive.
As Officers were on foot and approaching the vehicle, the vehicle fled the parking lot. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the vehicle failed to stop, and a pursuit entailed. The pursuit began on Highway 150, then traveling south on I-77, and ending in Huntersville on Gilead Road.

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) - Investigators have charged a man with five counts of statutory rape of a child in Iredell County and he is jailed under no bond.
On Feb. 13, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office say they received a call in regards to statutory rape of a minor.

27-year-old James Lewis Hairston III of Moravian Falls and 44-year-old Trisha Marie Nelson of Wilkesboro were arrested last Saturday (February 20) by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers. Hairston is charged with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, along with misdemeanor counts of resisting a public officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.

53-year-old Rhonda Felts Wooten of Fulton Drive in Statesville was arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with one felony count of larceny and two felony counts of obtaining property by false pretense.
According to information released Monday (February 22), on January 2, 2021, a report was filed with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office regarding the theft of jewelry from a private residence. During the investigation, it was learned that two individuals were hired to clean a home. Rhonda Felts Wooten was one of those individuals who cleaned the residence on December 16, and December 21, 2020.
