Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis Announced Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade today, Square Enix revealed that it’s also working on another remake of sorts related to the series. While it might be quite a bit different in nature, Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis looks to tell players the story of the entire FFVII saga in an all-new format. Planning to release next year, Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is a new adaptation of the saga for mobile devices. The game is planned to come to both iOS and Android platforms and it is said to be a “chapter-structured single player game”. Essentially, it’s Square Enix s manner of finding a way to tell the story of the series in a new format.

Posted on Sony held their first big State of Play event of 2021 just a couple of hours ago, and one of the big announcements during that event was from Square Enix who will be bringing an improved version of last year’s excellent Final Fantasy VII Remake to the PlayStation 5 this summer. Piggybacking on that news was a somewhat surprising announcement about two new Final Fantasy VII mobile games that are in the works. Square Enix has formally announced Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier, slated for release on iOS and Android sometime this year, and Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, slated for release on iOS and Android sometime in 2022.

Square Enix Publishes New Trademarks Linked With Final Fantasy VII

On January 12, 2021, Square Enix, through patent information platform J-PlatPat, published information on several trademarks applications: The Japanese Shinra Company logo, “The First Soldier”, and “Ever Crisis” – these are all terms related to Now, Square Enix didn’t make any announcement yet. However, we can make several hypotheses with the information on hand. First off, there are no guarantees these will be games, as the trademarks, as usual, cover a large range of applications. Secondly, even if The First Soldier and Ever Crisis are games, there are no guarantees Square Enix will ever release them. A game trademark doesn’t necessarily means it’s in active development.
