PSECU and Silver Spring Township collaborate for Earth Day tree planting event HARRISBURG, PA (April 20, 2021) Last June, PSECU, Pennsylvania’s anytime, anywhere digital credit union, ran a “You Can Make a Difference” tree planting campaign, encouraging its members to switch from paper to electronic banking statements. For every ten accounts that enrolled in the service during the month, PSECU committed to plant one tree. Enroll they did, with 3,140 members making the switch. “Once again, PSECU’s member-owners have taken action to help make a positive impact on our community,” said PSECU President and CEO George Rudolph. “With each paper statement averaging four pages each, these 3,140 e-Statement conversions will save more than 150,000 sheets of paper a year. To put it into perspective, that’s a stack of paper around 83 feet tall!”
