Boating has become even more popular during the pandemic as people look for outdoor activities. DNR officials say boats should be equipped with life jackets for everyone on board, a fire extinguisher, a working horn and whistle, navigation lights, a copy of your registration and flares. Boats 16 feet and longer must also have a throwable flotation device.
