COVID concerns expressed about young children

MACOMB Greater concerns are being expressed about coronavirus exposure for children ages 12 and younger. These concerns have resulted because there is no vaccine yet for these children and the Delta variant of coronavirus is spreading quickly.
It was reported this week that, on the national level, 10,000 children have been infected with the Delta virus. It was also reported that 20 children in Mississippi have been rushed to the hospital in serious condition because of Delta exposure.
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported Tuesday that 21,614 doses of coronavirus vaccine have been administered in McDonough County. There are now 11,235 residents fully vaccinated, 37.51 percent of the population.
