Work is continuing on the construction of four lanes to U.S. Route 67 in Jersey County called the New Delhi Bypass. On Wednesday, a trackhoe worked on the southern end of the project near where it will tie into the newest section of a four-lane highway just south of New Delhi. Work is continuing on construction of an addition of four lanes to U.S. Route 67 in Jersey County called the New Delhi Bypass. The 3-mile section which will connect to the current four lane section from Godfrey north to New Delhi. Workers are constructing a massive box culvert to carry water from a small creek near Trinity Hill Lane under the new construction. The $18.6 million project, part of the Illinois Department of Transportation’s “Rebuild Illinois” infrastructure program, is expected to be
