Man Killed In Yorkville Crash

Reply A 54-year-old Yorkville man died in a crash Thursday night. (Shutterstock) YORKVILLE, IL A 54-year-old Yorkville man died Thursday after a two-vehicle crash near Route 71 and Wes High Point Road, police said. According to police, a 2006 GMS Sierra was headed north on Route 71 when it crossed the center line into the southbound lane, hitting a 2007 Peterbilt truck. The driver of the truck was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Sierra, identified as Robert Stoecker, was pronounced dead at the scene.
