(CHICAGO) The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) reported 7,123 new COVID-19 cases in Illinois on Wednesday, with 146 additional deaths reported yesterday. The new statewide totals show 870,600 confirmed cases and 14,655 COVID-19 related deaths. The latest statewide hospitalization report shows 4,793 patients throughout Illinois with COVID-19. Of those, there are 1,045 in Intensive Care Units around the state and 590 other patients are on ventilators.
