Carvel delivered the keynote commencement address at four smaller, socially distanced commencement ceremonies for a total of 6,400 enthusiastic graduates who received their bachelor’s degrees in front of family and friends at Warren P. McGuirk Alumni Stadium under sunny skies.

On Thursday, May 13, the Graduate School Commencement will begin at 4 p.m. at Warren P. McGuirk Alumni Stadium on campus. Starting at 2:30 p.m., traffic on University Drive will be restricted to buses between Massachusetts Avenue and Amity Street, according to the UMass Amherst Police Department. All vehicles attending the Graduate School Commencement should use Route 116 to the UMass exit. Vehicles will be parked in the parking lots surrounding the stadium.

Two graduates recognized as Jack Welch Scholars May 6, 2021 AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts Amherst will honor the exemplary achievement, initiative and leadership of some of its most talented and accomplished graduating seniors during Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies taking place Friday, May 14 at McGuirk Alumni Stadium.
