HENDERSON HARBOR â After nearly 20 years of owning and operating the Association Island KOA Campground located on its namesake island in Lake Ontario, the Shim family announced Monday that it has sold the resort.
In a post on the businessâs Facebook page, Dr. John Shim, now-former chief executive officer of Association Island, said his parents, Dr. Nak K. and Sue Shim, have sold the recreational vehicle park to Sun Communities Inc.
âWe are confident Sun Communities will take Association Island to new heights while preserving the history, the beauty, and the legacy of Association Island,â the younger Dr. Shim wrote.

Structure’s heritage value will be retained The British-era built headquarters of the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) in Alappuzha is all set to get a facelift.
Michael Mathai, president, YMCA, Alappuzha, said the structure would be renovated without losing its heritage value.
The renovation work would be inaugurated by Alappuzha Diocese Bishop Fr. James Anaparambil on January 26 at 9.30 a.m.
The Alappuzha YMCA was formed in 1904. The present building (Old block) was constructed in 1912 and formally opened on August 12, 1913 by the then president A.T. Forbes.

The Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports, Agriculture and Lands (MEYSAL) announces that approximately 370 students are registered to participate in its extended holiday programme.
“The extended holiday programmes and activities are certainly off to an encouraging start. I am happy that so many parents have seized the opportunity to ensure that their children are meaningfully engaged in a safe, well-supervised environment during the extended Christmas break,” commented Minister of Education, Hon.
