A resident of Punjab who happens to be a Person With Disabilities (PWD) is benefitting from the Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Programme.
Physically challenged Haider Ali has opened a dairy business after obtaining a soft loan of one million rupees under its Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (YES).
Haider hails from Hujra Shah Muqam, Punjab. He bought two buffaloes and cows from the loan he received under the scheme. He said he earned around Rs 50,000 every month by selling their milk.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar on Tuesday said there had been marked upsurge in economic activity across the country as 10,000 new businesses had been launched under Kamyab Jawan Programme (KJP)

The government has so far disbursed around one billion rupee among the female entrepreneurs, qualified under the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (YES) of Kamyab Jawan Programme (KJP).
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar confirmed that the amount, out of the total disbursement amounting Rs8 billion under YES, was distributed among over 1,000 qualified women entrepreneurs.
He said the YES was launched in October 2019 under the banner of Kamyab Jawan Programme to provide the youth soft loans for initiation of their own businesses. An amount of Rs 25 billion was allocated to the women exclusively under the programme, he added.
