It turns out if you watched the first episode of Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK last week, you definitely recognised one of the queens from somewhere else. That’s right, Ginny Lemon auditioned for X Factor was back in 2017.
Ginny sung Liberty X’s Just A Little whilst in a fully yellow outfit (save for the blue eyebrows) and it was, obviously, iconic.
When Simon Cowell asked “who are you?”, Ginny even responded with their catchphrase: “I’m Ginny Lemon, fancy a slice?”

Whilst on X Factor, Ginny Lemon said they’re from “Worcester, just like the sauce”, aged 28 and working in human resources.

This is the first reality-TV commission for the Nine-owned streaming service, which also hosts Drag Raceâs US, Canadian and British editions. Nick Forward, Stanâs chief content officer, said Drag Race was âalready a huge hit with our audienceâ.
In August 2019, ITV Studios Australia announced it had acquired the rights to produce a local edition of Drag Race. In Stanâs statement on Tuesday, the producers are listed as World of Wonder (the producers of Drag Race internationally) in collaboration with Warner Bros International Production New Zealand for Stan and TVNZ.
