Israel signs first Asia trade pact with S. Korea; seeks to boost trade

JERUSALEM, Israel: Israel and South Korea are preparing to enter a free trade agreement this week to eliminate customs duties, as well as offer safety nets on investments in a bid to boost trade.
This would be Israel s first free trade pact with an Asian country, according to Israel s economy ministry.
The agreement, which is scheduled to be signed in Seoul during a visit by Israel s foreign affairs and economy ministers this week, will exempt more than 95 percent of Israeli exports to South Korea from customs fees and also make Korean imports to Israel cheaper.

JERUSALEM, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) Israel and Morocco have reached an economic-trade cooperation agreement, the Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry said on Sunday.
This follows the normalization agreement signed between the two countries on Dec. 22, 2020, and talks conducted by the Israeli Economy Minister Amir Peretz and Moroccan Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and Digital Economy Moulay Hafid Elalamy.
The agreement, which is expected to be signed in two weeks, establishes a framework for cooperation in the fields of economics, trade and innovation, with both sides aiming to increase bilateral trade and remove trade barriers.
