ITP drive to check lane violations July 12, 2021 Islamabad: The campaign of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) launched to check lane violation is in full swing and road users are being educated to follow traffic rules and minimize the accident ratio. The main objective of this road safety campaign is to ensure safety to people and road users are being educated for lane discipline during drive. Following directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil ul Rehman, Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Syed Karrar Hussain has constituted special squads to control lane violations on various roads and ensure smooth flow of traffic in the city. ITP’s squads remain present on all important roads including Islamabad Expressway, Srinagar (Kashmir) highway to educate road users about traffic rules. Medical officer appointed at ITP office - Newspaper

ISLAMABAD: A medical officer has been permanently appointed at the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) office to monitor the physical fitness of staff and visitors. According ato details, newly-appointed SSP (Traffic) Syed Karar Hussain has made the effort to ensure that all facilities are provided to applicants of driving licences. The medical officer (BS-17) from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences has been appointed to monitor people’s health and physical fitness. A thorough medical examination including eye testing of visitors will be conducted along with determining what their blood group is as this information is important to note before a licence is issued. The medical officer will check whether the applicant suffers from any disability.
