Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei rebukes Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif for the latter’s “wrongful” remarks about Iran’s foreign policy, the Quds Force of the country’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the force’s martyred commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.
Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a live televised speech on Sunday in reference to a leaked audio file featuring allegations by Zarif about some occasions in which the country’s foreign policy had been “sacrificed” in favor of the force’s activities.

Tehran, May 2 : A big fire broke out on Sunday morning in an industrial alcohol production plant near the central Iranian city of Qom, injuring six, a media report said.
The fire was reported around 06:00 a.m. local time (0130 GMT) in the industrial park of Shokuhiyeh, located 20 km from Qom, according to a local fire department spokesperson.
More than 100 firefighters were immediately deployed to extinguish the fire, preventing it from reaching the tanks of alcohol and other flammable items, the Xinhua news agency reported.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has called for the massive participation of the Iranian people in the forthcoming presidential election, warning against efforts made to dissuade people from participating in high numbers in the polls.
Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a Sunday live televised speech while reflecting on the forthcoming presidential election, saying that nobody should dissuade people from taking part in the election in high numbers.

A senior Iranian commander says the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Army are authoritatively monitoring the enemy’s every movements and ships entering the Persian Gulf. Today, every ship entering the Persian Gulf will be monitored in accordance with the bandwidth control code in the Strait of Hormuz, and has to identify itself,” said Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, commander of the IRGC Navy, on Friday.
He added that Iran plays an important role in the geopolitical and strategic region of the Persian Gulf and the Makran coasts of the Sea of Oman.

As Iran’s 13th presidential race draws near, many Iranian and foreign media outlets have been busy speculating about who will most likely run.
Dozens of names have emerged as potential contenders over the past weeks. It is, however, a bit early to tell whose names will ultimately appear on the list of candidates since it is not a given that everyone who intends to run will actually be able to.
