Clover Hill man charged with murder | WSVA News Talk Radio

8 hours ago in Local Photo: Saga Communications DAYTON, Va. –  Rockingham County authorities are investigating an incident early yesterday morning that left a Dayton man dead. Shortly after five o’clock, deputies were dispatched to Whitmore Shop road near the intersection of Mount Clinton Pike. When they arrived, they found 46-year-old Chad Anthony Mines of Dayton lying dead on Whitmore Shop Road. A short time later, another call came in for a disorderly conduct complaint on Eden Valley Road nor far from the location of the first call. An investigation showed that both calls were related and eventually 19-year-old Tanner Allen Hartman of Clover Hill was arrested at a home in the 800 block of Eden Valley Road.

View Comments CLOVER HILL A 19-year-old suspect has been charged in the slaying of a Dayton man who was found dead early Wednesday morning in Rockingham County, a press release said. Shortly after 5 a.m., the Rockingham County Sheriff s Office responded to Whitmore Shop Road, near the intersection of Mount Clinton Pike, for a medical emergency. Minutes later, another call came in for a disorderly conduct complaint on Eden Valley Road in close proximity to the location of the first call. Deputies immediately responded to both locations to investigate, authorities said. At the scene of the first call, authorities found the body of 46-year-old Chad A. Mines of Dayton.

Dump truck kills woman in Rockingham County crash

Police said the crash took place at the intersection of Eden Valley Road and Peake Mountain Road. Dorian J. Adamson, 76, of Harrisonburg, died at the scene. Adamson was headed east on Peake Mountain Road and driving a 2002 Toyota Camry when she pulled into the path of a 1994 Mack dump truck, police said. Salladay is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash in Rockingham County reported on Thursday, April 22, at 12 noon at the intersection of Route 762 (Eden Valley Road) and Route 612 (Peake Mountain Road). A 2002 Toyota Camry was traveling east on Route 612 when it stopped at a stop sign and proceeded to make a left turn onto Route 762. The Toyota pulled into the path of a 1994 Mack dump truck traveling southbound on Route 762.
