The bill, which is expected to get a final floor vote in both chambers this evening, restores a $250 million line item to boost high-speed internet connections in underserved areas. Lt. Gov. Jon Husted visited Youngstown last week to discuss the need for broadband as well as a $12 million to $15 million proposal to bring a 100-mile high-speed fiber line that could serve more than 620,000 residents between Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana and Ashtabula counties.
